I was 35 when I had my daughter. Yes they took a sample of amniotic fluid at 3 months and that was pretty scary. There's a risk with everything, but don't let that stop you from trying. Previously I was having the same worries that you have. I was contemplating between having kids now or live the life I want to before settling down with kids. And then I realize that every pregnancy do come with risks no matter how old I am so I decided to do all the crazy things I want first before babies come my way.
