I went alone wif my 3 yr old todd on a 12hrs flight to Netherlands. -A bit of common sense would have helped me ie dont feed the kid wif milk or anything milky b4 take-off or arrival. My girl puked 1 hr after take-off. Lollipop is very handy to handle the air pressure. -And yeah!!! I gave the cold medicine to my girl. But she was down with a slight cold on the way home anyway.. so I got excuse ;) -We went for walks and checked out how other kids are doing. They are equally restless and the parents are harassed.. so phew!! it helps to know I'm not alone. And who knows, some folks may recognise u & ask for ur autograph.. never know! Enjoy ur trip!! (KL to london) however, I think I would try it this time around :) The kids are all older now. Sticker books, books to read, colouring books, and yes I also kept some sopophoric (sp?) meds on hand. I didnt use it. j2 refused to go to the loo at one point cos he HATED the sound of the loo flushing, however that was towards the end of the trip when he was sooo tired :( but I think you can do it. Play a game with them, I-spy works wonders u know :) If you are more relaxed, they will be. One of my friends with toddler twins didn't when they traveled to the UK. She had to put on her sunglasses when they exit the plane. On the return trip she fed them prescribed cough medication! It's gonna be great! Trips to the airplane bathroom take up lots of time and were very interesting to my kids. So plan lots of aisle time :) We flew nonstop from Canada to London.
