KG - of course, if u want to live all the way out here in the boondocks LOL Barb, actually I will be a 'parent teacher', which Ive been doing the last year with Rae's co-op. I don't actually teach but I assist the teacher :). Starting the co-op is more administrative work, like finding the school site, setting it up, getting the equipment, hiring the teachers (the college we're affiliated with interviews them), figuring out our budget, getting in the funds, writing grants, managing the parents' schedules, basically how u wld set up a non-profit business i guess. Washington is the only state in the US with like an established system of of cooperative preschools. We have manuals and guidelines to help us, so we're very lucky. The co-op Rae goes to is already 50 yrs old, so a bunch of moms got together 50 yrs ago to start it. I wanted a co-op for Sky when she turns three and Duvall didn't have one, so whaddya know, we'll just start one LOL. I know, it's crazy. Why can't I just go to a private one or go back to the one Rae is going. I had the opportunity and I just took it I guess. And now, I hv to follow through with it lol.
