The lovable Malay Male blogged this first and shared this Al-Jazeera Everywoman video (in English) on youtube on yet another Hindu couple being torn apart by religion.

Can’t help but think of the character Pi Patel in Yann Patel’s Life of Pi, who wanted simply to love God when asked why he became a Christian, a Muslim and a Hindu all at once.
He asked the question, why not one nation in heaven?
When will this madness end?

i visited malaysia almost a year ago and i can say that it’s a vibrant and beautiful place…i saw so much freedom, but to learn that some islamic law is pulling this country backward is really appalling, the lawyer himself from the video clip you attached admitted that the country has the constitutional provision that allows freedom of religion, however this co-exist with a sharia law that forbids the conversion of a muslim faithful otherwise! i find it so ironic, and i can’t help but mock the double standards system tolerated by the society. Malaysia could epitomise the modern world of islam only if it can be much bolder to change some of its old school rules, anyways being a muslim in malaysia or indonesia is much lenient in a sense than being a muslim in the mideast…so why not move on and make islam a beautiful religion?

depriving from father..mother and 15 month old baby..is this what islam want ? what the crap is going on? no one can force what religion we want to follw…and whr is our human right?
Malaysia as the surface level seems to be very attractive…but in deep…thr are lots of problem going on…this suresh and revathi is only one of the problms..u think revathi will change aft sending her to the rehabilitation center, only making the situation more worst… GOD!!!… why these people are not civilize…only malaysia is holding on this concept…but other muslim countries doesnt seems to do this..
Love is far beyond from religion, status..wealth and everthing….what thy need is just a peaceful life… so, leave them alone… Priya darshini (15 year old daughter) is craving for their parents love….
To show how good a religion is…it depends on the devotee…so, the devote shoud show a goood example…
