Candy love vs Mommy love
March 7th, 2007 by jennemede
Driving home today after school, I gave Rae a piece of caramel that Daddy had snuck into the car this morning because it was my favourite type of candy.
Chewing away happily, she said to me, “Mommy, I love you.”
Awww.
“Why baby?”
“I love you when you give me candy.”
“Oh? You don’t love me when I don’t give you candy?”
“No.”
Very matter-of-factly.
“Mommy loves you even though you don’t give me candy.”
“Well, that’s your problem.”
Priceless.
