I went home because my father went home to God. I can´t believe he went suddenly without a hint. It has left all of us (my family) sad beyond words. Today, memories of him surfaced in my thoughts and I thought I´d surf the net for Ipoh, just to be close to my father and to my roots. That´s how I chanced upon your blog. Incidentally, the road yau tet shin onced belonged to my ancestor. Yau Tet Shin is my grandfather´s grandfather. He arrived Ipoh as a young and penniless man but made fortunes later. Anyway, I am happy to chanced upon this site because Ipoh holds so dear to me. It is something I will never let go. I go home every CNY because I want to celebrate the occassion with my family every year and also to let my 6 year old daughter know part of her culture. However, next year will be different because my father will not be there anymore. Thank you for showing all the good photos of Ipoh, it is truly a relaxing place to live in.
