‘Twas the weekend before Christmas, and all through the house
were pieces of clothing, strewn about. Hey, my blouse!

It also happens to be laundry day for the Tans
which is why you can see on the stairs are Lokes’ pants

The week has flown by, I had so much stuff planned
But now I’ve got one day to get things underhand

Serves me right to have spent all day writing
When I should’ve been chopping onions or something

‘Tis lucky I’d taken out the turkey this morning
Or we’d have had to eat it tomorrow while the damn bird is thawing

I still have some gifts that have not yet been wrapped
What’s the point? By Christmas, they’ll be more useless crap

And I still don’t see anything under the tree that’s for me
I hope that’s ‘cos Lokes is just good at hiding. Is he?

Ah, this chair is comfy, and my PC’s so fun!
You’ll just have to cook Christmas dinner yourself, hun!

Okay, I’m just kidding, I’ll peel myself away
And make sure we’ll still have dinner the old fashioned way

So here’s wishing all of you a Merry Christmas
Whether or not you dig it, it don’t bother us

Just put on your finest and bring on the cheer
And make sure to have yourselves a Happy New Year!
