A Christmasy Sunday
November 26th, 2006 by jennemede
Our first REAL Christmas tree, a Noble Fir to be specific. Got a stand and everything.
Our living room now smells fiiiirr-bulous!
Plus…
…it snowed! We don’t get much snow here in Redmond/Duvall, particularly Duvall since we’re in a valley, so we got reeeeaal lucky this time. It started to snow on our way home from Home Depot in Redmond where we got our tree. Was very pretty driving home. We had dinner with the blinds pulled up to admire this rare treat.
I love the holidays!

I know you’ll probably be happy at this (I was when I lived in Duvall), but there was usually FAR more snow in Duvall than in Redmond. That’s because you’re in the cascade foothills. So next time the weather guys are talking about the foothills, that means you!
If you look at the Sunset Gardening books, you’ll also find that you moved into one zone COLDER than Redmond is. Isn’t that wild?
We thought about getting a tree today, but it’s too damn cold! So I give you full credit for tromping around in the cold today!

Oh really??? I thought that since we’re in the lowlands we’d just see more slush hehe. Yay! We were soooo happy just driving home with the flakes falling all around us, esp. Raeven. She’s been watching Polar Express over and over again, just gearin up for Christmas

Great looking tree and the fuzzy background is cool. Give us a photo tour of your new home please!
Dude, you know the weather is coocoo when it snows in Washington and rains in Minnesota. We had RAIN last night, for hours. Craziness.

Jenn I would love for you to write about what the holidays are like in Malaysia compared to here in the US. I’m always intrigued by different cultures.
