Being married to a Malaysian, I totally relate to most if not all of the above. Fortunately I&#039;m spared Manglish, except when the in-laws are here. It was really hard trying to &quot;correct&quot; them so that they would use the proper words (for us Americans), and not infuse our kids with &quot;weird&quot; terms. I didn&#039;t want people to cock their heads, or worse, make fun of him, when Seb say things like &quot;rubbish.&quot; Oh, don&#039;t forget the &quot;lah&quot; among others.

Did I ever mention I&#039;m kinda anal?

How about this one my hubby learned while he was in TX: &quot;Yea I&#039;m fixin&#039; to [leave].&quot; When I first heard it, I asked him &quot;what are you fixing???&quot;</description>
