Today, the Tan family took a ferry ride across Lake Washington to a little town called Bremerton and back.
It was the girls’ first time riding on a water transportation, so yes, BIG step. Here’s a pic of me holding on to both my girls for fear of the strong winds blowing them off the boat.
More pictures here.
In other news, Lokes and I came up with a list of ten things that we promised ourselves that we would HAVE to do before we go home (or ever leave the US to live somewhere else – waseh, like real!):
- Go to a concert (if Coldplay comes to Seattle, we’re there)
- Learn to ski
- Buy a mobile home
- Drive it through the US
- And visit New York
- Live in a cabin in the mountains
- Go for a hot air balloon ride over the Grand Canyon
- Go to Superbowl!
- Visit Mount Rushmore
- Visit Alaska and experience the Northern Lights
“Imagine if we took a year each to visit all the states!” I’d said.
“It would take us until we’re in our 80s!” Lokes replied.
Boy, this is some big country.
Love your list… am inspired to make one too, hugs, miss you.
Woah Jenn, your daughters are such cutiepies. I like pictures!
That’s a great picture. And a great list. I’ve done two and a half of your ten — I’ve been to a concert and to NY. And I’ve seen the Northern Lights, but not from Alaska.
Great pics. Looks like a fun day. Reading your list and seeing the photos really made me “homesick”. Miss the States very much
We’re planning to go whale-watching this coming weekend, tickets-permitting. Have to cram all our trips in time before the sunshine peters out!
Rhode Island and Connecticut are small… They could take only 6 months.
We would still be in our 80s LOL
You know what, girl? Your family goes out on more outings in these few months compared to while years in Malaysia! Hehehe… Good luck in making your wishes come true. Now I wonder why I’d never stop travelling??? Lucky Francis lets me go freely. ;P
So true Asther. Mostly because Lokes doesnt mind the weather hehe even tho it’s like a hundred degrees out! Thing is when the wind blows, sejuk sial!
I feel left behind, only done number 1. I went to watch the Eagles in Singapore a couple of years back… cost me my arm, my leg, and my left ear; but definitely worth it.
