What’s up?

August 22nd, 2006 by jennemede

Skyler, my 21-month old, has a favourite book, which is a shortened, cardbook version of Dr Seuss’s Hop on Pop.

She can ‘read’ it front to back a dozen times in a row, simply going over the words she remembers from our reading sessions.

Today, Rae read it to her. And both had on their very serious book-reading faces.

“Up Pup, Pup is Up. You go, Skyler.”

“Pupupupup!”

“Red, Red, they call me Red”

“Wedwedwed!”

“All fall, fall off the wall!”

“FawfawFAW!” *chuckle*

Excellent. Now mommy gets to blog.

“There’s a Wocket In My pocket” is the Dr. Seuss book I look forward to my 2yo learning to read. To himself. Silently.
