Absolute Suckage
I hate my wall-to-wall carpeting. I physically hate it. I hate the stupid people who designed this house who rolled it up to exactly where my kitchen island is so when I prepare anything with crumbs, they will with utmost determination fall on the damn carpet, thus prompting my blood pressure to skyrocket because I know I have to vaccum AGAIN!
I love my Dyson, but having to vacuum every damn day isn’t my idea of fun. I have bits of cheese and yoghurt which I suck in anyway because I can’t be bothered to wipe them ‘coz I AM SO DAMN TIRED OF THE FUCKING CARPET! And I can’t leave them there ‘coz they will most definitely HARDEN and CRUST up the carpet like a bitch. Plus this is a rental house and I already have a HUGE grape juice stain over which my armchair now resides.
Seriously, who the fuck still wants wall-to-wall carpeting? It’s the 21st century, for Pete’s sake. It’s not in style. And not only is it not feasible to maintain, it doesnt even warm the house up as much as it’s supposed to!
Definitely am only buying a house with hardwood floors or laminate.

Who the fuck installs carpeting anywhere NEAR a kitchen?! What a pain in the ass.

Yea. They must not hv kids. Or if they do, they are in cahoots with the damn carpet cleaners.

Not a complete solution… but we recently added the Swiffer Carpet Flick to our cleaning arsenal. Got it at Target and didn’t install the two spacers in the handle so it is the perfect height for our 4-year-old to use (and she loves it!). It actually does a good job picking up cracker crumbs and little paper pieces. (It isn’t for wet things though). http://www.homemadesimple.com/sites/en_US/swiffer/usenglish/products/flick.shtml

Tracey!! Kind Tracey. Yes, I saw it on TV. Kinda expensive. And I hate having to add yet another tool when I bought a $500 vacuum cleaner! Sigh…

Hey Jenn…
Why not get the Roomba? Its really big in the US isnt it? It works like magic. I have one here in UK and I don’t need to lift a finger to do any vacumming.
Trust me…the Roomba is better than the Dyson!
