“I miss daddy.”

December 15th, 2005 by jennemede

For some reason, Raeven just fell apart yesterday, at about 10.40pm. She was in her room, playing her Elmo game on the Sesame Street website, when I noticed she’d just sauntered out of her room (I was outside, playing WoW), and her eyes were teary. She’d stood in the hallway looking at me for a minute, before melting down in my arms.

“I miss daddy. I want my daddy,” she cried. Took a while to calm her down too.

It just broke my heart. Lokes has gone away for work lots, but most of the time, she barely even notices. I guess this time, it’s because of that Elmo game, since Lokes always sits down with her when she plays on her computer.

So, we had an early night. Held her close for a long while before she was herself: toes tickling the ends of my shorts.
